When you were born into this world, you had vast internal knowledge about why you were coming here, but in terms of understanding consciously how the world worked, you didn’t have a clue. So, when you wanted and needed something, you first turned inside to your Spiritual Source for your security, your supply and your direction, knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that if you asked, it would be given. Help would be sent to you very quickly.
You continued to tap into those vital inner resources for several years to meet your most basic needs, but the outside world became inviting, intoxicating, and sometimes frightening, so you began to look to people, places and things first when you had a want and a need. After all, the big people had all the food and that seemed to be reason enough to trust them.
Actually, that was a bad idea and here’s why. Earthly suppliers tend not to be very reliable. We may look to our jobs for security, until we lose them or something interrupts our ability to work; to our shops and malls and the internet for our supply, until that supply is interrupted or we can no longer afford to buy so many things, and to our navigational systems, maps and gurus for direction, until we become disconnected from or disillusioned with those unreliable channels. And then we vaguely remember how it used to be when we turned to God first. We use phrases like, “When all else fails, pray.”
It takes us a while, some of us longer than others, to remember that Spirit is Infinite Supply. Spirit never runs out of anything. Spirit never fails.
