Looking Back at 2021

The dawning of a new year filled with possibility is upon us.  In a few weeks it will be 2022, how exciting and how blessed are we all.

I know the past few years have really challenged us.  I remember writing December 2020’s monthly newsletter discussing all the turmoil going on.  Everything from political upheaval, racial disconnect, and of course a pandemic.

Fast forward to today and it doesn’t feel like much has changed. In fact, it almost feels like I’m sending out the same message as last year.

Here we are a year later, and we are still dealing with a pandemic, racial tensions, mainstream media, and politics.  And it all feels rather heavy.

And in truth it has always been this way.

It’s understandable how one could feel as though we have gone nowhere except maybe backwards.  It’s easier to look at it this way.  It’s hard to keep moving forward with a spring in our step when all the springs are feeling rusty.  It can be hard to move forward on an average day with nothing going on and rust free springs, and yet that is our job.  To move forward.

The fact is it’s always been hard because the purpose of life is to engage in challenges both hard and not hard.   This is how it has always been and how it always will be. And that is why we keep showing up here.

To experience the challenges and contrast.

We love the drama, and we love the joy.  We love how we feel when we overcome all of it and we ache when we feel the pain of drama not gone our way.  We love it all, we just forget this because sometimes it is harder than we thought it would be. Kind of like the past few years.

Over the past few years, we have forgotten that we are all in this together.  We have also forgotten about the magic we all possess. The magic of humanity that comes alive when we remember who we are and why we are here.  The magic of connection that keeps us wanting more.

With that being said let’s all remember. Let’s all be right here right now and enjoy all the season has to offer us.  Let’s all connect with those who matter most to us and be the love, light, joy, and magic this time of year is about.   Let’s then carry that love, light, joy and magic with us beyond the season and Consciously Shift the world in a way that we all can embrace.

Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones. May you be blessed with the connection of all things that are dear to you.
