Thriving In the Face of Change
In the movie The Matrix Morpheus says this about fear, “Believe me when I say we have a difficult time ahead of us. But if we are to be prepared for it, we must first shed our fear of it. I stand here, before you now, truthfully unafraid.” He then goes on to tell the crowd that he is honestly unafraid because he knows who he is.
He is honestly unafraid and not because he is superhuman or better than everyone. He is honestly unafraid because he knows who he is a piece of God, source, or whatever version of divine creator you believe in. He has released all of his fear and is one with his true nature.
Now I’m certain some of you are saying, “Well that was a movie.” or maybe you do not like the movie. No problem, I only use it as an example. The truth is still the truth. We are all one with our creator. We are all divine creations manifested as human beings.
What does this have to do with fear and releasing it. Well it seems to me that if we are God, divine creator, source, and more. And if we all know or believe that God, source, divine creator and more is bigger than fear then why do we carry it? Why do we carry fear and allow it to paralyze our experience here?
Why do we have such a hard time moving through things that do not serve us. Why do we remain attached to behaviors or situations that are painfully debilitating? Why do we keep living and reliving the same thing over and over again?
The only answer I have been able to come up with is that we simply don’t know we have a choice, or we have been so bruised by the experience of fear that we have forgotten we have a choice.
I understand its hard. I go through my own blocking of releasing fear. It can be brutal. It can cause all sorts of physical ailments, severe mental anguish and disconnect with those around you.
Persevering and overcoming in the face of fear is no easy task. Just look at what is happening in the world right now. It’s enough to make you want to hide forever. But we can’t. We have to remember who we are, and we have to connect with our creator.
In other words, we have to go within because that’s where our divine magic lives. That’s where we remember that we are Piece of God. It’s where we find safe haven and empowerment that leads to living and experiencing the Peace of God.
This is what we intended when we chose to come here and it’s the easiest way to move through challenges and fear. It is how we truly laugh, love, and live our heart desires. It’s how we thrive in the face of personal adversity and global chaos. It’s how we move forward and declare no more because today we choose the Releasing of Fear.
